Community Meal Program

meal program

The FGP is starting a bi-weekly meal program for needy Fredericksburg residents, to be held on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month, 8:30-9:30am, at Katora Coffee, 615 Caroline St.

We're looking for volunteers to help cook, prep, serve, and clean up. We're also looking for local businesses who want to contribute food items, clothing, toiletries, or anything else which may be helpful for those in need.

Green Book Club

Hello everybody,

Sean Imanian here. So our next meeting for the Green book group will be this Sunday the 18th at 4 p.m. at Katora coffee. We will be discussing the rest of the newspaper. Which is page 13 and Beyond. I will make a basic agenda that we can follow to help flow the discussion. I'll try to get that out by Friday the 16th. We will be discussing Subterranean fire the book on the 25th. We will be talking about chapter 2. I also will try to get an agenda ready for that soon too.

Looking for online newspaper researchers

research

The FGP is looking for people with current, valid newspaper subscription/research accounts (e.g. Free Lance-Star) to do some online research for one of our campaign projects. This is a volunteer position (as are all our positions). No research experience necessary (we will train). Work your own hours, report each month what you've found.

How to use the new website

These are just some short notes on where to find things in our new website. These instructions are also posted on our "About Us/Organization" page. Due to our current page coloring scheme, it may be a little difficult to notice where the "links" are, but soon you will notice that when you run your cursor over certain parts of the text on a page, the links will be highlighted.

New website!

After 17 years, the FGP has a new website, with more features than before. We are in the process of transferring content, databases, and mailing lists to this new site. Current members will receive an email with instructions on how to log into the site, to help with particular projects.
